On the trail of the Taniwha 

 Unistructural 
 What is the purpose of this story? to find a Taniwha What words does the author describe the event in action He uses descrip words. What are the settings and who are the characters? The characters are Sue the guide, Amanda Symon from the rock art Centre and the school. 

 Multistructural 
 three things I remember from the text are that they are going to see the rock art picture of a Taniwha, the name of the school is St Joseph's School and very few histories of rock art have survived. summarise the main parts in the story. they go to see the Taniwha rock art and learn all about it, and they also get teached how to be Guardians and protect the land


Relational Why do you think it is important that stories are passed down from generations. So we can cherish it because it would be special to us and we can also learn from them about the Maori people and its history.
